STA – Single-phase control transformers

Designed and tested according

· IEC/EN 61558-2-2 / 2-4 / 2-6
· EN 60079-0
· EN 60079-7

Typical applications

· Control voltage circuit
· Protective seperation
· Functional low voltage
· Safety low voltage

For use according to

· EU RL 94/9/EG

Basic equipment

· Separate windings
· Insulation class B
· Ambient temperature –20 to 40 °C
· Connection terminal
· Frequency 50/60 Hz
· ±5 % tapping on the primary side

Sample order

· requested type STA0,1
· requested rated input voltage 230 V
· requested rated output voltage 36 V

The correct type designation reads STA0,1(230/36)

The unambiguous article number of your configuration will be defined by trafomodern during the offer- and process.

The transformer must always be installed in an approved enclosure to with a standardised flameproof rating to EN60079.

Technical notes

Equipment marking:

  • Ex II 2G Ex eb IIB Gb

Important notes:

According to IEC/EN 61 558 transformers with rated outout voltages ≤ 50 V can be used as safety transformers. When ordering, the following information must be added to the type designation:

  • STA0,1(*/*)
  • 1st place holder ≙ rated input voltage
  • 2nd place holder ≙ rated output voltage
